Is there a certain channel that has any plans on adding any "Real" music video channels? I know that CMT and GAC are music video channels, but I'm not a country fan, and MTV and MTV2 aren't worth a crap anymore if your a fan of rock music. MTV2 use to show music videos 24 hours a day, and now they show almost as much reality tv as MTV does. MTV2's schedule mainly consists of either shows about rap music, rap videos, or two million episodes of "Viva La Bam". Will the new channel with Network Live show any music videos on it, or will it just be concert performances like what's on The Freeview channel 124?

MTV Networks has several digital nets that air music videos 24/7, e-mail D* and request that they add them:

MTV Hits - Pop
MTV Jams - Hip-Hop
VH1 Soul - R&B
VH1 Country - Country
BET Gospel - Gospel

As for Rock, there's always Fuse.

About 3 or 4 years ago we had a video channel called "MTV X" which played new and old rock and some metal 24/7. They dropped it in favor of MTV Jams and MTV Spanish (we have zero spanish population in our area). Does anyone know if MTV X is still out there somewhere?

Due to low viewership and very low interest at the time, MTV Networks ceased programming on MTV X, and replaced the channel with MTV Jams.

The MTV digital networks that play videos 24/7 are one of the few things I miss since switching to D* from Comcrap. If D* would add them, I'd be thrilled...

D* carries VH1 Classic. All videos, all the time.

Fuse has newer rock videos, along with some newly-released top 40 pap and hip-hop sludge.

The only thing for metal or hard rock left is some shows on Fuse, a few shows on VH1 (Metal Mania and another one) and reruns and a couple new episodes of Headbangers Ball on MTV.
