I know others have complained already, but after LOST failed to record last night, I need to rant a bit in the hope that it might draw some attention of somebody at DTv.

----

I KNOW Lost was in the TDL and marked as part of my SL in the guide.

It did not record last night and THERE IS NOT an entry in the "History" at all.

History is bad enough when it just says "Cancelled" for everything, whether it was cancelled by you during recording, unscheduled as a recording (ie - you change your mind and delete the scheduled recording before it happens), or even deleted after having been watched!

But to have scheduled recordings appear in TDL without a corrsponding entry in History to at least acknowledge that SOMETHING happened is just a joke.

I have tried to be patient with this thing, but I am starting to lose it....

I tried mine over a few weeks (activating and deactivating) and after missing half of the shows (it is on a UPS so it is not a power issue) I gave up on it.

Each of the three TiVo's recorded just fine. I don't get it. So the R15 is deactivated again and I'll wait on DTV to get the bugs worked out.

I'm not saying you should do what I did, but this unit is simply not ready yet -- simple as that. If you have another DVR to use you should at least "consider" it. You can always reactivate the R15 later should you wish.

Best of luck to 'ya.

AMEN!

I think these R15 programers need to take a look at current UTV to get an idea of what we want. It would tell you that it didn't record some because you deleted it, it was conflict, power outage, didn't air, or lost a tuner. And it would tell you in real time, not link it to the day the program aired. The only thing it didn't tell you was if the HD was failing.
