I just hooked up a new 625 last night and the software shows L2.92. Anyone else have this or know what's different between it and L2.91?

291 & 292 are currently listed as valid software for the 522 & 625. I don't know what the difference is. BTW, how do you like it so far?

Sounds like you can use USB to record to pocketdish now.
So far I like it a lot. I'm still learning about NBR. I had one problem where all the TV1 outputs stopped showing video yesterday morning (TV2 was still fine). I could bring up the guide and select a channel but I would not get audio or video. Happened on all channels I tried. It was like that all day until I got home from work and did a power button reset which fixed it. Hope that's not an indication of things to come.
I like the interface better than the 721/921 and being able to watch 2 channels on 2 TV's is awesome. The only thing that I'm disappointed about is that scrolling through the program guide is WAY slower than on the 721/921 which surprised me. As soon as the whole guide has to scroll, it just kind of clunks along. Not really a problem since I can use the page up/down buttons. All in all, I think it was a worthwhile $182.50. Plus I sold my 721 on ebay for $195. :D

Mcnamara,
Suggestion, use the 30 Second Skip ahead button to jump forward 24 hours. If you want to move ahead several hours or days in one JUMP, then input the number of hours you wish to jump ahead then press the "Blue Arrow" key. You will then jump ahead instantly. These same tricks work in reverse, "10 Sec Skip back" goes back 24 hours, Input the number of hours you wish to jump back too and then hit the "Left Arrow" button.
I use these shortcuts all the time. I use "168" then Right arrow to jump ahead 7 days. All you need to do is brush up on your Multiplication tables, actually its a great way to keep your Math skills fresh, and avoid scrolling and scrolling to get to the time and day you wish.

Thanks John. I was really referring to vertical scrolling. I haven't done enough 'future' scrolling to know how slow it is.

McNamara,
Yes, Vertical scrolling can be slow, although I usually either use the Page Buttons, or enter a Channel number and "Select" those work pretty well as shortcuts too.
