Yeah my 622 stutters a bit sometimes. Must run on Windows of some sort, because it benefits from a reboot more often than you would think.

same problem here...When I first turn the receiver on I sometimes get the stuttering and choppy video and have to do a reboot (hold power button down 5 secs) to fix it.
I only notice it choppy on tv2. It's random, but it happens often if I'm recording OTA.

The 622 is a Linux based receiver.

Is this on all channels? I briefly had this issue on Voom channels, checked signal strength and found out I was getting a 60ish signal. I re-aimed the dish into the 90s range and the issue went bye bye.

This happend to me twice. I powered down the unit both times. read in another thread that a simple press of the pause then play buttons can clear it out. i will try that next time.

you will lose your recordings but you might try Menu-6-3-info-browse-theme-play-play-recall. it will say disk cleaning and when it's done a message will say all corrupt content has been deleted.

Please disregard my previous post. I just experienced coppy video for the first time this evening. I was recording HD OTA on TV1 and switched (which the 622 designed to do) to a satellite channel for viewing (on TV1) while the OTA was continuing to record. It was so choppy that I had to abort the recording.
Things really went downhill after that. Audio got out of sync on all channels, then my HDMI audio to the TV went dead. This was followed by a frozen screen which I then had to reboot to get back to normal.
touchy...................where's that next release?
I got my 622 installed just two days ago. Yesterday, on my TV2 video was choppy, audio totally out of sync, until I turned TV1 on. TV1 was OK and TV2 turned to normal mood. As soon as I turned TV1 off TV2 started to show choppy pictures again. It did it with live picture or with the stuff recorded earlier. After reboot, TV2 looked fine yesterday and even this morning. Don't know for how long.

I'm seeing choppy video, stuttering/buzzing audio and random crashes/reboots.
My call to Dish regarding their 'quality product' didn't resolve anything. I was told they'd pass the info on to their engineers and it was up to me to call them again and again to see if anything was going to get fixed.
Why in the world is it so hard for Dish to send out a simple e-mail to keep their customers updated? I really don't want to spend an hour on the phone just to find out that the tech has no idea what a 622 is.
The tech last night tried to convince me that the choppy video was being caused by my surge protector. :eek2: Riiiigggght...

We've seen a little choppy video on tv2. Seems to be around times the DVR is firing off a recording, etc. No problems thus far on tv1.

I'm still seeing the choppy video. Does anyone know if this is being addressed? Or is it perhaps hardware related?

When mine went choppy I checked both HD and SD channels on both TV outputs, SAT and OTA as well as HD and SD recordings. 100% choppy. Reboot fixed it. While annoying I'll play wait and see. It's happened once since install last week (6 days). Generally I'm happy with the 622...
