Packet8 VoIP and Dish Network

Does anyone know if Packet8 VoIP service will work with my 942 reciever? I am signing up for Packet8 service and I will cancel my landline. I am going to hook up the packet8 phone line to the 942. Has anyone else done this with packet8? I would love to avoid the "no phone line" fee, but am willing to pay it since I will be saving more than $20 a month by canceling the landline.

One word of warning about Packet8. They don't offer the "lossless" g711u codec for calls. Which means big trouble for modems. You might look into a carrier that does.... I had no issues with VoicePulse on my 811.
