What Am I Missing?

I'm brand new here but I have searched this site for a discussion of this question and haven't found anything.

Anyway, I am a long time Dish customer (5+ years) and have always been jealous of the new customer deals that are offered. Well, I went to the Dish site this morning and they are offering the chance to upgrade two of my receivers (I currently have three 310 receivers) to my choice of 510 and/or 311 for $49 total (at least that is how I read it).

Before I call them to discuss I wanted to post here to see if there is a "catch."

I currently subscribe to the Top 180 with HBO.

They have just come out with new HD receivers that in a couple of years or so will obsolete all the old receivers. They are the Vip211 and the Vip622. Look at the Dish site and read about the new receivers. If you do not have High Definition (HD) and do not intend to upgrade your tv in the next year, The Dish deal is probably a good deal. If you want HD you can upgrade now to a Vip211 for olny $49.00 also. Limit one per customer and then add the 501 or 311 also. Also, these are lease, not purchase and there is a lease fee on the second and third receiver of $5 or $6 per month. First receiver lease fee is included in your package price.

I am not moving to HD for awhile (usually a late adopter) so that is not a consideration.

The lease fee is a small gotcha but I may be willing to live with it to get the new receivers.
