OK I just signed up with D* from E* and have read a bunch about problems that the R15 is having.
One thing that everyone keeps mentioning is that they are on XXX version how do I tell what I am on.
As far as my experience so far. I have noticed I few things that are out there and I wish I still had
1)RF Remote. I notice there is a port on the back but who knows when we will get anything for that.
2) 30 sec skip. Really liked it on my Dish Maybe I will have to get used to it???
3) Series Link not able to set up multiple series link on a show on 2 different channels. I called D* and they said "Gee that is odd I have never heard that one before" That was from level 2 support.
As far as all those out there that said that we chose to use the r-15, that is no longer the case. That is what is coming standard on an install. I got 2 r-15's had to pay for one got one free. Granted a nice deal but would like to know that it is going to work.
Any help/info you can give me on where to go for software info and updates on the 3 items would be greatly appreciated.
