Search Feature on the 501?

Has E* ever made any mention of adding any search capabilities to the 501?

Im new to DBS, So could someone tell me how long the 501 has been around?.....Just curious

It was mentioned on past Charlie and Tech Chats that it might be added, but it isnt a guarentee.

Actually if I remember correctly they said the search feature would be in by the Superbowl. On the last Charlie Chat however Charlie was putting down his engeneers and software people saying that they never hit their goal on time.

Only time will tell.

As far as the 501, the announcement was made at the CES last January 8th that the 501 would be released in February. It actually didn't get released until April 2001.
