Tivo Question from Newbie

I am currently a Dish guy and have been for abour 6 years. I am going to make the leap to Direct for the Sunday Ticket. I have been monitoring this thread for awhile and the R15 issues frighten me. What would be the drawback of purchasing a Direct TV Tivo unit and using that when I switch.

I can't see any "drawbacks" other than where you will get an access card D* would probably sell you a card. Just make sure you are buying and not leasing as in getting a used one from a private person and not a new one from a distributor.

I think this leasing thing is going to cost DirecTV a bunch of subscribers. New subs may think it is okay, but current subs aren't going to like it when they need to replace their receivers.
