Pause live TV switches channels...

Here's another new one I hadn't seen before yesterday (this box really is a piece of crap, isn't it?):

Turned the thing on, put 878 XM (MLB Home Plate) on. Switched to 248 FX. Pressed pause. TV paused for about 2 seconds, then switched back to 878 XM.

I was recording 248 at the time, but it still doesn't make any sense.

I've only got one tuner hooked up. When I press pause, it pauses for a second, then continues. I've pressed the reset button, but I still get the same results. Suggestions?

The recording, was it a manual record (as opposed to a series link).

This same thing has happened to me once or twice as well. Don't have any explanation for it, though.
