Already has the new 5 voom channels and espn2 and nbc universal are all in mpeg 4 HD sat location 129

It is my understanding that some of the locals are being delivered in MPEG4.
ESPN2-HD, UHD, and the new VOOM channels are MPEG-2 encoded, wrapped in MPEG-4 headers.

What?? did Charlie lie on his chat when he stated it was MPEG 4 ???

A HD tech told me Dish is still several months from actually transmitting any MPEG4 encoded programming. He said there is much more to it than just having MPEG4 receivers out there.

The encoders are the issue. The tech chat back in November covered that well.
But there is MPEG4 out there today. All but a couple of the HD locals are in MPEG4.
