loop current error

I hooked up my phone line to the back of my 522 reciever/DVR. Now on the caller ID screen, I get the incomming call box, but where the caller ID info should be is a line that says 'LOOP CURRENT ERROR'. Can anyone tell me what that is and how to correct it so I get the caller info?

I not exactly sure what the error message means on a DISH receiver but it likely has something to do with there being too many devices on the line. If the loop current (the loop is the line back to the central office) is too low the caller ID information can't be "read". It could be that some device (a bad phone?) is loading your line and that is causing your problem. I would try to remove some devices (one by one) and see if that fixes it. Also, if you have DSL on that line make sure that you have a filter installed.
