Is anybody aware of a switch or configuration that will allow me to hook up 5 satellite locations (61.5, 110, 119, 121, and 129) to the ViP622? I know--"Why do you need that?" 61.5 for some ATL locals, 110 duh, 119 duh, 121 for German Package, and 129 for HD/Locals.

I had a SuperDish prior to the ViP622 install w/DPP44 that carried all but the 129. I got the 622 installed during the "first round" and they came out here and looked at my config and were completely dumbfounded on how they were going to hook up everything. L.. O.. N.. G.. story short~ended up telling them to forget the German and take the SuperDish away. They instalelled a Dish1000 so I lost the 121 which carries the German. Now that DN may have had some experience (hoping) that maybe somebody else had run into the same problem. I really would like to get the German back.

Thanks for any ideas/advice!

2 outputs of the DPP44 into the input 1 of 2 DP21 switches, both outputs of a DP Dual for the 5th sat into input 2 of the DP21s. Run 2 lines to the 622.

The ATL locals will be moved off 61.5 within the next couple months to comply with the one dish rule. That will bring you back to needing 4 unless you want the PI channels on 61.5.

I'm sorry you told them to take the SuperDish as that is not at all what needed to happen. I work for Dish tech support and actually ran into this a few days ago with another cust, although his situation was a bit different and actually required 5 sat locations. In your particular case you don't need 5 sat locations. All mpeg4 hd cotent also mirrors on the 61.5 sat location as well. You don't need the 129 so you would have been find with your superdish + the 61.5 wing dish. If you are still covered under the 90-day warrenty I would recommend calling tech support and having your specific case being pushed to a sup or executive if need be.
