510 caller id issues

Longtime lurker, but my first post on the board. Thus my first question; I have a wireless jack hooked to my 510 and it shows an active line and I can get PPV movies but it never shows the caller id screen. Does anyone have a reason for why this might be? I have selected and deselected the wireless jack box and still nothing. Any advice?

While wireless jacks will let your reciever dial out to Dish for PPV and the like, they do not work with caller id.

That is not necessarily true. Newer models of wireless jacks are caller id capable.

I have my 522 hooked up to a wireless jack and the caller id feature does work. Of course it usually takes between 2 and 3 rings for it to pop up, but it does pop up.

I have a similar problem with my 508. I bought a wireless jack which is supposed to work with modems and the such, which I spent the big bucks on so it would work with the caller ID feature of the 508. It works about 25% of the time. There is no explanation whatsoever. I've tried everything, but about 25% success is all I get. Oh well, I guess we'll still have to look at the phone LCD screen.
