Earlier this evening I was scrolling through the guide when I noticed that Conviction on NBC was scheduled to recorded via an SL. However, I have never set up an SL for this program. Moreover, it was not in my TDL and it was not listed in the prioritizer. I then thought that it might be a showcase recording, but showcase still was empty.

At 10:20, 20 minutes into this program, I noticed that the record light was not on. I checked the TDL again and it still was not listed. So, I tuned in my local NBC channel and immediately my R15 started to record Conviction. I can only guess that if I had not tuned into this program, then it would not have been recorded.

This really is crazy. I've seen many reports of missed recordings, but very few reports like this were the R15 decidd to record something all by itself!!!!

Is it possible that Conviction was on in a timeslot that one of the SL's normally recorded? I know this happen with The Book of Daniel, after it was canceled it recorded something else that was in the same time slot.

About once a week, my R15 says it is about to record extra? I don't even watch extra nor do I have a SL.

Absolutely correct! Conviction aired in the timeslot of Law&Order:SVU last night, and I have an SL for SVU.... So, it seems that the problem is with an already established SL.

Hummmm, with all the SL problems, one wonders if it would be easier to trash all the current code and start over. :eek2: On the other hand, perhaps the problem will be resolved with the next release.

I would delete and readd it just to be safe, once you get the update.
