View Full Version : How do you delete a recording you are currently watching?
Well, I know, it sounds like a stupid question, but really, how do you do it?
Personally, when I'm done watching the show, I press the skip to end button, ff a couple of seconds and then choose delete. Works great for me. But now that skip to end is being replaced by 30 second slip, I won't be able to do that anymore.
So how do you do it? Do you go back in the list, find your program and hit dash dash? There's gotta be an easier way that I must have missed.
I believe the "skip to end" button will still function as a "skip to end" when already in the fast-forward. When not fast-forwarding, it functions as a 30s skip.

If I remember correctly doesn't hitting stop bring up the delete yes/no message too?
no but that is how I do it, just hit stop it takes me back to the MYVOD screen and then press - - to delete. I believe early on I hit - - while watching a program and it locked me up. With all these updates since then it might be worth trying again.

If you hit list and then highlight the show you are currently watching then hit -- it will delete the show and return you to live tv with the ToDo list still showing. I do this all the time when I don't like a show or I get into it and figure out I have seen it.
going back to the list, selecting the program you're watching and pressing dash dash works for me, but for some reason, I find it inconvenient. I guess I just got used to hitting skip to end and then deleting it, kinda like on the Tivo. But if ff and the "30s slip button" takes me to the end, I can live with that.
You know what they should do? They should make it so that when you press the red button while watching a show, it asks if you wanna delete it. Or same thing with dash dash.
