hey there!
i was re-reading the press release about the Directv Family package and it said that it would be available in April, does anyone know when it will be available? Also, I read an article that the Directv package would have pretty much the same channels, does this mean that Directv will include Fox News in the family package? Thanks!

here isa list of cahannels announced int he family package. There might be more. there might not.

the page on the web site http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/learn/packages_Family_package.jsp makes it look like the pacjakge is available now. I would call 1-800-531-5000 and ask about TOTAL CHOICE FAMILY.

I don't think Directv is too interested in selling this, notification came by US post 2 days after the fact rather than a fax notifying us immediately.:)

The package should have included Animal Planet and especially TV Land.

Dish's Family Pak costs $19.99 a month, but you cannot subscribe to Premium channels. It has TV LAND & FAUX News.
