Should BBC World News on DirecTV?

I say yes! We need some news from outside of the US. ;) Contact DirecTV ask for it.

Better this than the new English Language Al-jazzira Network:nono2:

I voted yes but I'm guessing you're talking about a BBC World News Channel versus the BBC world news on BBCA. Is this correct?

I Tivo BBC World News on BBCA every day just as I do other news programs.

English Al-jazzira Network? I'd like to take a look at that. As with BBC World News I like to see what other's view of the world is as opposed to the crap our news channels provide.

Why can't someone come up with a News Channel that doesn't already have it's own political agenda? Although the BBC is closest to that from what I've seen.

BBC World News on BBCA is just a feed of the BBC World which is the channel they want here.

For me, more choice is always better and so I have voted in favor of adding BBC World News. However, given another choice, I would prefer Sky News - as a Brit over here I feel that channel has a better balance of UK and World news.

I would rather see more HD stations first they need to save the bandwith on the satellites for more HD content in my opinion. After that sure they can add it if they still have room.

I can think of MANY other channels I would prefer before another news or religion or shopping channel.

We each have our own preferences. I would love to see a LOT more news channels, especially internationally based ones.

They can take all of the shopping and religion channels away as far as I am concerned. I do both (shopping and religion) locally, thank you.

But I recognize that there are people who watch both shopping and religion channels, and appreciate having that programming.

I say NO! No more boring channels using bandwidth! I lived in London for few years and I had to pay TV license to fund BBC , ridiculous. I agree about shopping and religious channels. Make those "a-la-carte" and they will disappear and free space for more premium movies and HD.
