Hi Guys,

Sorry for the lame question, but I have searched the net and cannot find the answer so I thought I would post it here.

My wife and I have Dish Network and are very happy with it. My little brother was over at the house the other day and was excited to see NASA TV. I happen to have an old DirecTV box in the garage and was wondering if this could be used at his location only to receive NASA TV. I hooked the thing up and see that it's complaining about the access card being out of date.

I am not trying to steal programming at all! I was just wondering if this channel was available using an old system like this. NASA TV is not offered with my brother's cable system.

Thanks for any comments.

Tim

Only with a subscription to Directv, plus you will need a new access card and Im not sure but you may also need a D* dish capable of receiving Sat 109 too!

Bummer! I guess there is no reason to keep this old system. I have no plans to subscribe to D* anytime soon. I just thought it might come in handy someday.

NASA TV is available on channel 376 on D* and is available on all pkg. levels.
It comes via the transponder A-16 on the 101 deg. bird. NASA recently switched
to an all digital format. One interesting note: Mark Cuban and H/D Net have
recently signed a exclusive deal to carry the remaining shuttle launches(ends 2010) in H/D.

NASA TV moved a year or three back from one of the other sats to 101.
