View Full Version : A question on "KEYWORDS" being recorded on the R15

Since Series Links only capture and record a show on 1 channel (will this be fixed, so we can record it over all channels ?) I have made a keyword with many of my fave shows, that come on multiple channels,
But, they also schedule to record shows with the same keyword on channels I do not recieve (the distance locals mainly) I have all channels I do no not subscribe to not checked, and blocked, in a custom list.
So why does the R15 still try record shows on these channels? & Will this be fixed ?
It even finds shows that you already recorded and are in your VOD. I wish this was changed too.

What you are trying to do is one of the most powerful and useful functions which a dvr has. Don't give up on it, but be aware that the r15 find function has some problems. Finding and recording programs on channels you don't receive is one of the biggest problems. And the more auto-recording finds you have, the worse it seems to perform. Whether it will ever be fixed is an open question which no one can answer.

I acutally like that. It's kind of nice, just incase you forgot that the episode was there.

I agree to a point, but when it is a channel you can not recive (distant locals) and have blocked it should not record it.
Now if they let it be in the to do list (as will not record), just to let you know it is out there, that is nice, but the other part is not.

I like this feature because of FOLDERS, sometimes shows are down the list and I miss them. Not a "deal breaker" though so I wouldn't die if it was removed.

I have the reverse issue with my HR10-250. I miss things because there are no folders. I think I've watched all the epiodes of something and there is one somewhere way down on the list.

I get around that by sorting the Now Playing list alpha

How do you do that? That might help, more so if it then sorts by date after the alpha. It won't sort the suggestions into the list will it (i assume it still keeps them on the bottom)?

Sort code:
When in Now Playing
(S)elect (Z)ero (R)ecord (T)humbs Up (or is Down...)
You will then here a bong bong bong
and a message will show up on the bottom.
NOTE: This is a TIVO Code for pre 6.x units(not releated to the R15)
