I just downloaded the 10B8 update for my R15 and I also use a Harmony 880 remote.
Anybody know what the trick is to get the Skip button on the 880 remote to do the 30 second slip? I have tried using the Harmony site to update the remote and even tried to make it learn, but no luck so far? Any help would be great. FYI the 30 second slip works with the orginal remote so I know it does work!:)

Hmm..

I don't know why the original code wouldn't work (unless the harmony is sending the signal to long)

As we didn't get a "remote" update.

The button does two things now.
Push it and let go, you get the 30 second slide
Push it and hold it down, you get the original functionality

What is your unit doing when you use the Harmony?

Right now it is just doing the same thing as the fast foward button.

That button never did FF before did it? It did the skip to end before, correct?

No, I set it to act as a fast forward, but after downloading the update today I reprogramed it (using the Harmony web site) to act as the advance button. Right now it still acts as the fast forward button I can X1 X2 and so on!

I just went into the Harmony web site to add the R15 as a device and boy has that changed. Is everyone being redirected to www.harmonyremote.com/???

I was accustom to the display that showed my devices but now I go into a list of what I want to do, of which, add a device isn't listed. Anyone else run into this?

SJ Bear, if you programmed your skip to be a FF you may want to delete the device and re-add it (if you can) without the modification. Seems Logitech made some changes to the web interface and I'm not at all liking this so far.

Well I figured out what I was doing wrong, it seems that I was not updating the skip button in the right activities field. After updating the watch Direc tv buttons, it seems to be working fine. I am sure this makes no sense to some, but if you have the 880 it might!

Thanks for the input

Thanks for the heads up. I've got the 676 so I'll have to update it later.

I had to use the IR learn to get my skip ahead to work, even on the older version. The skip ahead setting the database only acted as FF for me on my 676's, too.

I set it to Advance on the 676 and it worked right. Haven't got the new update so we will see how that goes.

For the record, my IR-programmed button works with the new feature just fine with no reprogramming.

I had to use the learn mode on my 880 as well. Setting it to be the Advance button did nothing for me.

But the good news is now for both of my DVR's that use that 880, HR10-250 and R15, that button is 30 sec skip/slip for both. :)

After using the learning option, I have the 30-second Slip functionality working with the 880, but I can't get the "Push it and hold it down option to jump to the end" functionality to work properly. I have to keep it down, then release then push down again to get it to work. I have repeat set to 0 and inter-key delay set to 0.

Is the skip to the end a different key that must be learned?

Does anyone have the skip to the end option working with the 880? If so, could you post your settings?

The hold down to skip to the (near) end works fine on my 676. I also had to do the learn function to get the 30s slip to work.

Solved the problem based on a suggestion from Logitech.

I learned the raw command (i.e. have it learn all 3 seconds of the SLIP key being held down). This is a little more convenient anyway as you only have to hit a button briefly, and the 880 will send all 3+ seconds on your behalf.
