Well, my 622 *mostly* died after a week of use. At least the hard drive did. Getting the fatal hard drive error upon startup. I can still watch TV, but all DVR funtionality is gone. Replacement is on the way, but I guess I'm a bit discouraged - this has never happened with any of my other Dish PVRs, and I've pretty much had them all.

Hopefully you'll have better luck with your next 622. I haven't seen much in the way of hard drive failures on here for this unit.

I see the 622 supports PocketDish through the USB port.

Not at this time. There has been talk of external drive support for the sole purpose of archiving recordings but that is it. This is something DISH has been talking about since last summer on the 942 when it was mentioned on a Tech Chat.

I just got my 622 installed Monday and my hard drive died shortly after my install.

I had a hard drive error as well last week with my 622. But it wasn't fatal, the unit came back on. I did report it to dish as it happened right when they told me to turn the power off and back on after a self-reboot.

I got a replacement unit activated yesterday , rev D . I haven't had time to play much with it, but so far no issues.
