FYI -here's a general HD locals (LiL) update for all D* subsDirecTV said Wednesday it has started offering local
HD channels to customers in Minneapolis, Sacramento,
Pittsburgh, San Diego, Nashville, Kansas City,
Columbus (Ohio) and Birmingham.
The satellite TV company said it now offers local HD
broadcast channels in 20 cities. DirecTV said it plans to
launch an additional 16 cities by mid-year, offering
access to local HD channels in more than 58 percent of
U.S. TV households.
DirecTV's roll out of local HD is part of an expansion
of high-def programming that will culminate in 2007
when the company will have the ability to deliver more
than 1,500 local HD channels and more than 150
