I have had this happen twice, I go to view a recording and the screen blanks out, except it does show the "VIEW" screen for the channel you were tuned to when the DVR was activated.
The receiver also locks up, the remote keys do anything except for the "Power" button which will turn the receiver off. Power off then back on recovers, a reboot is not necessary.
Back in the DVR menu, the recording shows the correct time and can be deleted with no problems.
