Well, I wasted a Saturday night on this POS. Can't think of the last time I sat thru such a load of trite historically inaccurate drivel.

I guess it was Kate Beckensale that keep me from switching the whole time.

Wasn't one of the best movies I've seen, but I kinda liked it.
Ya, that Kate is a real cutie. :righton:

The movie was good, albeit it wasn't a war flick and had some areas that needed to be edited out (like the entire Cuba Gooding, Jr. character - his character added NOTHING to the film). Basically it's a love story told with the backdrop of a war, kinda like a shorter version of the miniseries Winds of War (from the early-mid 80's...)

I enjoyed it mainly for the special effects. It's getting really hard to tell the difference between computer generated and traditional modeling.

Last week I purchased the directors cut. Nothing much was added except a few more curse words and some gore. Probably a total of about 2 minutes.

Agreed! That's what I thought after renting the DVD. One of the few movies that made me nauseous. POS!

I, probably, would have watched it but I "forgot" Pearl Harbor. Of course, in the past, I've also forgotten "The Alamo", and "The Maine".

The attack has some great Subwoofer effects. I have never gotten around to Disc 2 to finish watching it, though.

Rage,
This is what I don't understand. If You don't like the movie that you are watching...Why in the hell don't you turn it off and watch something else? Or go do something else.
Instead you tell Talk that it was a POS and you wasted your entire night watching it.
Kind of reminds me of the Southern Baptist that I used to live with that would have to watch an entire porno movie so they could complain about how discusting it was. "Hey I can't criticize it unless I've seen it."
BTW...I have 'Pearl Harbour' on my PVR but I'm going to rent it for $3.00 so I can watch it in it's OAR. Looking forward to it.
And if I think it sucks....I'll just hit the stop button and watch the Beverly Hillbillys.:D

I find the fin-shot perspective of a bomb
dropping to be very realistic. Haven't we
all been there at one time or another?
