622 didnt record programs today

I have some shows that record in the morning and today...nothing....

soon after turning it on it said the guide needed to be updated....which it then did in seconds...but looks like that was the cause for not recoring anything today .

Why didnt the guide update itself while the unit was off all night...and why did it need to ask me!? That cost me my shows this morning.

I had the same thing happen yesterday. There is nothing worse than a PVR that doesn't record when it is supposed to.

The CSR I spoke with last night suggested a soft reboot should fix the problem but I haven't done it yet. They said it was because the guide was coming from a different satellite or a different transponder and that was causing missing timers?

I figured a soft reboot would fix it, but figured that a hard reboot would insure everything gets cleanup properly. Thought better safe than sorry. ;)

As I mentioned in another thread there was some sort of guide problem for a few hours. No guide data=no recodings
