Biggest question....
Will it work with current IDE technology.

I don't see why it shouldn't.

Good News Good News
If I can get a good deal, I'll take two.
I currently have 4 hard drives in my A/V system.
Two 300's and Two 200's
Raid 10 to make a 500gb drive
I would love to get two of these and just use mirroring, and have a 750gb drive, and much better airflow and less heat in the case.

You don't think this bad boy will put out more BTUs than existing drives?

It might... .but at least then I won't have 4 hard drives right next to one another.
I will have at least a 1 drive gap between them, so the two fans blowing on the hard drive area could get some quality air movement.

300gb drives run hot, so I'd presume this would be... hotter!
But none of mine seem to have failed ... yet.

Is this still running at 7200 RPM? If so, maybe not hotter!

Well, it's been a year that my HR10-250 has had the Seagate 750GB drive inside it, and so far it's still hummin' along, knock on wood.
