Autotune Schedule?

I just got my Directv setup. Is there any way to set the autotune to a daily or weekly schedule? It seems like if I'm going to use my already existing DVR, I have to set the autotune every week.

I'm not sure what type of D* set up you have or what your "already existing DVR" is, but I have a Series 2 TiVo with DVD burner and it has infared cables (with serial cable options) for changing the channels. Does your DVR have the ability to change the channels on your receiver when it needs to record a program? If so, I don't see where you would need the autotune. (I have been known to miss the point on things from time to time, so my apologies if this is the case).

Actually, I figured it out. I have the Panasonic E80H DVR. I just need to keep it on channel 3 and set the Directv to autotune and I'm good.

It is kinda roundabout, if anyone has better suggestions, I'm open. Thanks!
