I've got 3 cable runs around 90 ft. 2 are hooked to the exisiting cable lines in my basement and 1 line I ran brand new from the LNB in preparation for the 721.
My question is for some odd reason on my 2 lines that are hooked to my existing cable lines I have the in- line amps on backwards in order for them to work. I can put them on the new cable run and have to put them on the way there supposed to be.
Any idea's?

John,
are these the amps I sent you?
You shouldn't need or have any purpose for amps on a 90ft run. Why do you have them? Do they actually help?

Mark, they do help slightly.
Jason, yes they are. They all 3 work on the new cable run I ran.
But its the other 2 I have to turn around before it works. They are really on backwards.........Its weird.
I'm not sure if there working backwards, but I'm able to do a checkswitch. If I put them on the way there suppossed to be, then the check switch fails, it doesn't see the LNB.
That's weird they'd do anything backwards unless they're mislabeled. As for the failing switch check, it's probably eating too much power and there's no power left for the LNBF

Use a volt ohm meter and check voltage at lnb end. Keep in mind though; even if you do have adequate voltage (13 or 18) the lnb could be loading it down (even though it has very little current draw) to the point so as not to work properly. If you don't have proper voltage then a check of your circuit backwards may be required.
