BUD troubles

I'm having some trouble tuning in certain channels on my c-band dish. Other channels come in crystal clear. I only have a 5 channel subscription. For example, MSNBC comes in with lots of sparklies and I have to skew all the way to one direction to get it to come in at all. One channel up is EWTN, which I must skew all the way the other way, but it comes in clear. Also, on that same bird is the ARTS channel which comes in good.

Any ideas? Is MSNBC running in low power? Could it be a hardware problem on my end?

What kind of receiver do you have? I haven't played with a bud in a long time, but I might be able to pull that brain cell out of hibernation. :D It sounds to me that you have the polarity set wrong on some channels.

It is Galaxy 1 satellite.

MSNBC is on Tp 10.

ARTS is on Tp 5

EWTN is on Tp 11.

Odd numbered Tps have one polarity and even numbered Tps have the other polarity

MSNBC does appear to be less powerfull than the other 2.

You might try adjusting your fine tuning.
