Earthlink True Voice

I got an offer to have Earthlink True Voice for $24.95, much cheaper than my land based phone service.
I know internet phone service will not work with Tivo, with them having to dial in all the time. However, what about the R15? Can I still use it's DVR technology despite not having a regular land-based phone line and having Earthlink instead? I don't care about PPV.

There has been no indications that the R15 won't work with VoIP

As even with the TiVo products, the "DirecTV" call works with VoIP, it is the "TiVo" call that doesn't work all the time.

just to confirm, no problems with VOIP. I use Lingo (21.99/mo) and have had no issue. Caller ID still works with VOIP.

You don't need a phone line at all to use the R15. Some functionality requies it, such as ordering pay per views from the remote, but you can watch programming, get updates and DVR functions without it.

I have Vonage; it's always worked perfectly. Just have a line going straight to the receiver. I've had to make no configuration changes.
