622 TV2 question

I just upgraded from the 942 to the 622, and this is probably a simple question but I can't find it in the manual or searching through the forum.

Anyway, my TV2 is showing SD 4:3 content with letterbox, instead of filling the screen. I seem to recall this on the 942 when I 1st got it over a year ago, but then I think it was fixed. I've paged through all the menus and can't find the setting, if there is one.

Am I missing something simple?

I press the "*" (star) button on the TV2 remote and it fills the 4:3 screen with the video. This only works for HD channels.

Letterbox was probably the wrong word... 4:3 content is displayed with sidebars. I.e. it is squeezed.

FYI I checked the "format" button and it cycles through the following options:
partial zoom
zoom
gray bar
normal
stretch

So I guess that get's me what I need....
