Here is the latest info I have heard from a credible source,
This software version 10C0 was a test version being pushed out to beta testers. While the push was occurring, A few people forced a download:nono: and acquired the new software. For shame.:) There is an even newer version that was pushed Monday night to another group of beta testers. It has not been made specific what the fixes are that DirecTV is trying to implement, and they are not telling yet, but they seem to be pretty big because this is the third update they have sent for this new version of software.
We can be sure to see a few more changes. Information suggests there were quite a few fixes put in, but they still won’t tell exactly what they target. This version of software is missing a few OSD’s, but there are new error messages. The newer version has the OSD’s built into it, and has a few more fixes. Hopefully they can get it completed soon so the finalized version intended to be downloaded out can be sent out thus giving the:hurah: machine it's shine back.:hurah: Funny side note, there's alot of posts by people feeling like D* is using them as beta testers and have some pretty strong opinions, with that in mind, if you feel like that, don't force the downloads anymore. I promise they're designed to get it when it's ready. To all the others whom are just as curious as myself, now there's no reason to be upset cause forcing the download is basicly signing up to be a potential beta tester. Which is pretty cool I guess as long as your equipment is covered and you don't slip up and mention your forcing the download caused the failure ;) N' K'??
