I live in a condo and just recently my check switch indicates that half of the Sat 110 switch has a problem. I am missing some channels that I should get. My neighbor has no switch problem but is also missing some channels on Sat 110 (not all channels). We switched leads coming in from the 110 cable and the problem reverses. My missing channel problem remains although they are not the same channels, everything is a Sat 110 problem. Sat 119 works for both of us ok.
A repair guy came out an changed out a multi-switch but no one was home and the problem is the same. No chance of me going up on the roof of a 4 story building, but could this be a LNB problem? Anyone have any Ideas?
Thanks for any suggestions/help.
It's either the LNBF or the cable coming from the LNBF. Try a new cable and new LNBF and that should fix it.

Thinkker - is your check switch telling you that you are losing the 110 ODD transponders or the 110 EVEN transponders?
Most likely it's a cable problem - moisture has worked its way into the cable and ruined it. You will probably need to replace it from the dish to the switch.
THinnker:
Where do you live? Are your locals on 110? Cerain transponders (like 110/10 in Philly) are spot transmissions. In the last 10 days, my signal on even 110 transponders from 10-20 has begun to degrade to an unacceptable level.

...er, no. EchoStar V, the only current E* spacecraft @110 does not have spot beams. EchoStar VIII does. It's due to be launched one of these weeks & will go to 110.
EchoStar VII @119, which went on line a couple of months ago, is the only E* bird w/spots at the moment.
The Philiadelphia locals are actually on a medium power Ku bird @129 on which E* is leasing a transponder.
;)
The main Philly locals are on 110.
hammlm, if your signal is degrading, Cut the trees in the way or fix the system problem. Signals from 110 are just fine.
