How many sat dishes would it take to get all the programming? I think E* would have to charge a little more.

well..couple of bucks more or less.. one way or another.. when we are talking $7500 a year.. lol - who's counting :)
Pocket change...
People with millions of dollars, by the way.. for them $7500 / year i suppose is NOT so much ;)
That's only $20.55 per day - I imagine some of you blow that much every day!

$7500/year could be also.. reportedly.. an Introductory offer for the 1st year.. after that, they say, the price goes to $10,000/year :D
But i am NOT sure about that.. - that is just what some people are saying....

The target market has to be extremely small. With the way people complain about paying the regular prices, who would shell out $625/month. Are there really customers out there that order $20+ in movies/porn/sporting events EVERY DAY ???

Probably not, but it does give them a price point for those found to be stealing 'everything' (beyond the legal penalties that are not paid to D*).

Well, the offer is, obviously, NOT for the regular folk.. but rather for someone with bucks willing to pay for the prestige of "being wide open" (so to speak) and having up to 10 HD DVR receivers :)

There is also a thread going on on the subject in General DirecTV Discussion of this forum - http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=58678 - where i got this link to today's NY Post article "DIRECTV OFFERS DEEP 'DISH' FOR TUBE JUNKIES" ( http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/directv_offers_deep_dish_for_tube_junkies_national news_sara_stewart.htm )
I guess you have to have a second account for the guest house. :)

This package has to be for big business, like fancy hotels, bars, IBM, Bill Gates ETC. Geez thats almost my yearly income from my dad's Civil Sevice death benefit & Social Security.
what is "concierge service"? why would you need it?
and the real interesting thing; will they open up all of the locals that your location can physicly recieve?
As for me, I will stick with basic and order WrestleMainia ala-carta:lol: :D

Nope .. it's for residential - quote from the NY Post link in my post #12 of this thread
..."It's basically a service for those who enjoy owning the best, the newest, the most expensive things," says DirecTV spokesman Darris Gringeri. In this case, that means every single channel, HDTV and otherwise. Every movie. Every pay-per-view event. Every sports game. Every adult program.
Plus up to 10 HD DVR machines - to ensure that no televised moment goes unwatched.
"Obviously," Gringeri says, "10 would be for larger households."
You can get it all for a one-time yearly payment that breaks down to a mere $625 a month - or about 10 times what you probably pay for cable or satellite service right now. But it might be worth the money for a customer-service person you can actually get through to - thanks to Titanium's 24/7 "concierge service."
and about locals .. i think i read in some other thread.. that you only get YOUR locals.. (that is why NOT sure about the rest of the locals) .. BUT you get all other channels.. (including internationals, etc etc)
and the real interesting thing; will they open up all of the locals that your location can physicly recieve?
...
Also .. for those interested.. the original discussion on this Titanium package started in this thread (as mentioned above already) : http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=58678
But now is continued in this "Sticky" thread .. with official D*'s press release link there as well:

You know... that's a good point and perhaps even the real motivation.
They need to define the "really everything" package, and get a few folks in the rich group to subscribe to it to make it legit... then they have an easy price-point to sue someone for loss of revenue when caught hacking.
I'd be willing to get anything that you just hit upon the real motive behind naming this package.

Considering the cost of some of their international packages, perhaps a lot more.

I think D* doesn't really expect many people to sign up because the market is so small to begin with, and only a minute percentage of those people would actually subscribe.
I think they did this for the free publicity. A lot of media outlets are talking about it. I even heard about this listening to Howard Stern. That's a lot of free publicity!

Hey. I think it is cool. An all in one package. "All for one. And one for all." Just like the Three Musketeers!!!!!!

It's probably just to give them a price point when suing hackers. Now they can say to the courts that $10,000 worth of programming was stolen (regular non-introductory cost of Titanium), and thus the court will grant that as the actual loss, instead of guestimating numbers.
