Hello,
I have Ygnition cable service. Earlier I had Dish network with
Dishpro500 receiver. I want to know if I can substitute Ygnition
receiver with old receiver i am having from Dish Network and get the
signals. When I say receiver, I mean the set top box and not the actual Dish.
Please advise if this is possible and if so, please suggest
how to do this.
Thanks

If I understand your question, you want to know if you can use a satellite receiver on your Ygnition cable.
No.
Think of it this way, cable has a language that must be translated to a TV signal.
Dish satellite has a language that must be translated to a TV signal.
The translator for Ygnition does not work as a translator for satellite.

Not having heard of Ygnition before, I did a search on the web. It appears that Ygnition is reselling E* service over an i.p. system somehow. The only way I know the are reselling E* is because their programming packages are E* packages (America's Top-120, Latino Dos etc.).
Then again the "cable" portion of the service may be coming from a dish, like AT&T (formerly SBC) is doing now in my area.
So a better question would be can "I use my E* receiver to get the service from the phone company?" At least in my case I believe I do not qualify for servise from AT&T (not that I'd want to "switch") since I'm an existing E* customer. Did Ygnition know you were an E* customer?
BTW: There is no such thing as a "Dishpro500 receiver". A Dishpro500 relates to the dish antenna. The receicer could be Dishpro capable (all models 301 & higher are DishPro capable, only the 4-digit models are not DishPro capable).
