Feedback from anyone from Santa Clarita, CA

I am a long time Comcast cable user and I'm getty ready to join the Dish Network family. Can anyone here from Santa Clarita, CA give me any feedback on your experience? My biggest reason of wanting to go to Dish now is the fact that I can get Local HD without a OTA? Thanks.

I am not in Santa Clarita but I am in nearby Simi Valley. I don't know what specific location has to do with it but in Southern California you can get all local channels in SD and the 4 networks in HD from Dish Network. The only channels you will not get in HD are KTLA 5 and KCET 28 (I get them OTA however.)

Go for it. Dish has many many HD channels that I enjoy.

I live in Ventura and get some 15 OTA Digital channels (I can not get the analogs). Note If the Digital channel is sending and HD program you get the HD, if they are sending a non HD program to get the better Digital signal of the program rather than the analog signal of the program.

OTA Digital channels that send HD programs some times are: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 28. 28-01 is full time KCET HD. Dish has many non OTA HD channels but some including LA networks are HD lite (see other threads on HD lite).
