Many times folks have bantered about regarding the DirecTV DVR+ indicating that it is heavily influenced and designed by another News Corp company NDS. NDS actualy states the DirecTV DVR+ is its product. NDS is also responsible for the BSkyB Sky+ DVR (and no one disputes that).
The Sky+ DVR has now begun offering the ability to schedule recordings via mobile (http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=404683) phones in the UK. Anyone want to banter about how long it will be before the DirecTV+ DVR does the same here?
Seems cool...especially with the "new" HD DVR coming out later this summer.

As I recall, back in the DTivo days, one could get excited with a new release from Tivo (MRV, HMO) only to be disappointed when the DTivo version came out and those "cool" features were turned off by DTV. Let's see if we run into the same issues here.

I have an SD-DTIVO collecting dust right now. If I really wanted to hack the you know what out of it and turn on as many features as are possible where can I go to learn about that? I know I can dive into tivocommunity.com and look around but is there a specific site or thread that has this information, this would be less time consuming then looking at thread after thread.

I doubt DirecTV will do this soon. It seems like BSkyB gets all of the cool stuff first. We may see it in Sky LA boxes or DirecTV LA boxes soon. They're DirecTv properties.
