Sorry if this has been covered; I’ve been traveling for the last month and just got back this weekend. I turned on my 622 and things seemed to be going OK, then out of no where a reboot, followed 5 minutes later by another. Since Saturday I’ve had 20 or more reboots. I noticed that there was a new software version downloaded. Is this a case where I should pull the plug and initiate a hard reboot?

I looked at the system stats and I’m not seeing disk errors (of course with all the reboots cleaning up the log I didn’t expect any). Tnanks..

Make sure to do a complete power cord reboot. L359 came down last month, and Dish has had a regular problem with reboots occurring if the update is not fully installed.

If it keeps this up you have a problem and should call Dish support.

There seems to be a spontaneous reboot problem with the new 359 release if you are running in single mode.

The discovered "fix", discussed in other forum threads, is to go into the setup and make sure that shared view (Menu - 6 - 2) is set to Enabled.

Actually it was mentioned rather early by MiniHD in this forum. See link below. Boomer.. I suggest going through the 359 discussion thread to get caught up on what people are seeing. The bug you seem to have ran into seems to be the biggest issues that seems to be newely introduced.

No problem AvJohnie.. I have seen a number of people run into the same issue so I wanted to steer them to where a lot of the conversation originally took place to get them up and running and around the issue. I was not sure if you ran across the posts so I decided to to highlight its location.

As for butchering posts. I am the head butcher. ;)

Sorry it took me a while to get back (quick trip to the right coast). I tried it last night and the problem was resolved. Just amazing to me that this wasn't caught in their testing or QA.
