My 110 reception stinks. I had the tech. out here last week to install the free HDTIVO and he attempted to re-adjust the dish but we just can't get it right. 101 and 119 come in great. He tells me the 110 LNB is in the middle so it is unusual for this type of problem where the other two look good and this one doesn't. There is a tree that may or may not be the problem. He states to keep an eye on it but that I may have to call in and have the dish moved higher. I hate to do that because it would include making holes in my roof. What can I do? Do these signal strengtheners I see advertised help?

"stengtheners" no, not really... unless you really have long runs (like more then 100ft)
It could be the tree you mention, it could also be a bad LNB assembly... Did the installer try to replace the assembly?
Also: Reception stength != PQ with DirecTV either you recieve it or you don't.
You could recieve the signal at 99 strength or 75 strength, the PQ will be the same.

I have the same issue, but it's not much of a problem because I don't have any HD programming yet (which most of the stuff on the 110 is, to my understanding). 101 and 119 are consistently in mid-80s to low-90s, signal on the three transponders on 110 are usually between 50-60.

I should have been more specific, not bad PQ but no PQ often and pixal-picture as well. Reminds me of what happens with rain-fade without the rain. I thought about the bad LNB but this tech. said that is too rare an occurance to be the issue.

One more thing, I seem to have a jittering picture with this free HD-TIVO as well. The HD-TIVO in the bed room does not exibit this trait. The freebie is hooked up to a crt rear projection tv via component cables. The cables go into the back of my a/v receiver first then into the tv. I needed to do this because there are not enough inputs on the back of the tv.

While LNBs going bad is not common, it's not all that rare. I have experienced it.
As far as your HD-Tivo, if you can, swap the units and see if the problem remains and where it is. Quickest way to nail down the problem.

I would agree.
I had an LNB go out about 3 weeks after initial installation several years ago. It took me a while to get D* to agree with me.
