Hi. What HD channels do you get with the Total Choice package? Is it just the locals in HD? Or do you get TNT-HD and Discovery HD or are those only included in the HD package that costs extra? Thanks, Craig.

If you get HBO or Showtime with your Total Choice those would be in HD. As far as the locals you have to get waivers approved and not live in an area where DTV provides a LIL HD feed to get the local channels off of the dish. No Discovery, etc. without the HD package.
If you can get locals via OTA (an antennae), then the locals by DTV's Dish is really moot issue. The locals in HD from DTV require a MPEG4 receiver and no DTV MPEG4 DVR exists today. The H20 is a MPEG4 receiver, but not a DVR...the HR20 out later in the year is a DVR that looks, from the reports, much like the R15.

I get the analog locals with the Total Choice. Is it different with HD locals?
What about TNT-HD is that with the HD Package?

Sorry I also should have added that I knew you had to get the H20 or HR20 to get the locals HD without using an HD antenna.

Not true, I have an H10 (it's probably 2 or 3 years old). I would imagine it's considered pretty archaic in this forum (I'm calling for an upgrade this week... think they'll do it? :) )
