StarBand, the bankrupt satellite broadband provider, received court approval for an agreement it has with EchoStar aimed at settling litigation between the companies.
The settlement between the companies - resolving customer base transition, billing and payment issues - was filed on June 20 but required Bankruptcy Court approval.
Effective immediately, EchoStar will begin to transition billing and customer service responsibilities of StarBand's retail customer base to StarBand. EchoStar will continue billing and supporting its StarBand wholesale subscribers, the satellite broadband company said.
