My progress bar stays at 0:01 while playing back a recording. This started since the latest software update the other day. It is happening on Both of my units. Anybody else having this symptom?
Thanks,
Larry

Have you tried a reboot on the unit? This seems to fix many odd problems.

Do you have 10B8 or 10C8; I know you said you have the latest... but the latest just changed last weekend... so I wanted to make sure.

Okay...
So does it work for any recorded program?
And it doesn't start working again after a restart?

It works fine on live tv. It wasnt working on Recordings. I just hit the play button again and it is now working. I havent done a 3rd reboot but will after a couple recordings finish and I will post whether or not it clears up the problem.
Thanks,
Larry

I had the same issue last evening with "all recordings". A "reset" was the fix for the time being.

Instead of a "reboot", try going to standby and let it be for a little while

Larry...
Next time it happens.
Try a different recording (not the one that it failed on)
Or try to put the unit in Standby for some time (like overnight) an see if things go back to normal.
(either way, the bug has been reported to DTV)

Earl I tried your suggestions and its still buggy.
On top of that, my wife's machine is freezing up alot and when playing back, occasionally the program will "studder" then freeze, like as if you were watching a crappy slideshow skipping then freezing.
Another problem on her unit she's having is while recording 1 program, she tries to record a 2nd one but it says " Your requested recording conflicts with other scheduled programs. To record it, cancel a previously scheduled program.
It then says:
1. Scheduled to record "name of show" Day time channel ,etc.
But, it doesnt give a #2 program listed, and in the bottom right hand corner it only has a choice of CANCEL REQUEST, or CANCEL #1.
It doesnt list Cancel 1 or Cancel 2 or Quit, like it use to.
So in other words its only letting her record 1 program at a time.
