I got the H20 installed today to replace my old samsung hd receiver. The guy explained what he had to do. In the process he said he had to put up a brace for the huge dish. The guy put up the dish without the brace and had to reinstall it again:confused: In the process of him getting the receiver up and going he said he wasnt gonna install the b-band converter because he said in this area it's been causing the h20's to malfunction. I read that there broadcasting the regional rsn's on the 18th, could they be testing right now and that be causing the problems? Also does anyone know if they filped the on switch for the mpeg4 now then? If so when should I be putting the b-band converter on the receiver. Besides all that when I was watching tv I could clearly see the diffrence in picture sharpness with the hdmi to hdmi cable. My old receiver had a dvi to hdmi which I can clearly see was downgrading the picture a bit. Sorry for being long winded but hey your in a forum to read anyway.

The AT9 should have 2 monopoles attached to provide stability for that big dish. It should form sort of a tri-pod if it's mounted on the roof.
As far as the converter goes I'm about 80 miles east of you and my H20 has it installed. I've had no problems with it yet.

I hope he left you with that b-band converter... as you are going to eventually need it.

The B-Band converter doesn't cause any problems with the unit.

The b-band converter is necessary for the unit to get the new signals in a (if I remember correctly) down converted (???) frequency off the new satellites. Ka-Ku band and the mpeg2/4 delivery....changing technology, and the h20 needs the b-band converter to handle both.

/me smacks that installer off his chair.

hope that helps.
