Question on dvr 622

The tec came over to readjust my dish. When he did a check switch it showed sat 129 as NC (not connected). I am getting programing from Sat 129. What gives. He seems to think I need a new receiver. Sat 110 says OK and Sat 119 says OK. but Sat 129 says NC. What do you all think.

Are you sure you are actually getting your programming from 129 (or did you mean to say that you SHOULD be getting programming from 129)? If the check switch fails the receiver wil not get programming from the slot that the switch didn't see.

My question is why didn't the tech fix the problem? It is likely NOT the receiver. It is likely a dish aiming problem or a bad LNB on the 129 dish. I assume that at one time that everything did work.

I would call the company that adjusted your dish and tell them it still doesn't work and ask them to send a different installer to fix the problem. As you have found out the skill of some instalers is not as high as it should be. Good luck!

I am definitly getting HD programming from 129 and also from 119. He swaped out the LNB with a new one and it still did the same. It does seem odd that I am getting all the HD chanells but when you run the check switch it comes up NC for Sat 129.
