I have my Albuquerque locals and while some broadcast in HD, they hardly ever have HD content. NBC has Leno in HD but not Conan and Fox has COPS in HD one week and not the next. I currently have a waiver to get a distant ABC. Will I get this in HD or just SD??

Sorry, distants are just SD.
E* does offer CBS-HD in selected markets and areas, but not the other networks.

Sounds like your local channels have someone snoozing at the switch. Conan started being HD last year... so if you are getting Leno in HD then you should also be getting Conan in HD.
Sometimes the switchboard guy misses the switch and doesn't flip it over... that happened around here when Letterman first went HD... it would sometimes be on for a half hour before someone noticed and switched over to the HD feed!

Thanks james long.
HDMe, thats probably the problem. I emailed them and hopefully I will get a response Monday. I'm pretty sure Regis & Kelly is in HD, though it hasn't been shown in HD on my locals, neither has Conan.
I just noticed that FOX must have been in HD and it was an old episode of cops because it had the FOX logo in the far rght of the screen and not just the right of the picture.
Cops is shot in 16x9 SD. They've been doing that for several years now. That's why you noticed the Fox logo in the corner of the filled screen.
