I don't know if it has to do with a software upgrade or what, but for some reason over the past couple days my signal strength on my h20 is lower (70's accross the board) and my yes network and gameshow network (all that I have noticed) are breaking up. Tried resetting, checked all connections and everything is the same. My other two receivers (hughes directivo and standard dtv receiver) are just fine. Any ideas or is anyone else experiencing something similar. Also, my local channels just dropped off my guide. Weird

What where they before hand (signal strength that is) ?
As 70's are what I get here, which on the HR10 it is in the 90's
Try pulling the plug on the unit, wait about 5 minutes and restart.

I am not sure what they were before. I just noticed that they are much lower than my other two receivers. Maybe that isn't so strange, I thought it was. I'll try pulling the plug now and let you know if it helps. Thanks for the reply

Ok, I unplugged it and let it sit a good 10 minutes or so. It reset and everything seems to be back to normal except for my missing local channels. For some reason they are only coming in on 16-1 etc through my off air. I'll have to call about that I guess. I have had that happen before. They just seem to get lost, I call them and they come back. It has only happened in the past when I activated a receiver though, not just out of the blue. Any idea as to why that might happen?
Its strange, since I unplugged it, it looks like the picture quality is better...more like when it was first installed...odd :-)

I was thinking that too so when I unplugged it I moved it to a more open location. It was warm...not anything horrible, but still just to be safe...
I still have no idea why my local channels are gone from the guide :-/

Go to settings,
Sat/ant
and have it rescan for off air channels again, may have to scan more then once.
Off air channels are like a box of chocolate, you never know WHAT you're gonna get. :)

The guide listings are downloaded from the satellite based on your zip code. It has nothing to do with whether you can actually receive the signals. However, rerunning the setup might still help.
