We moved into a new home 3 months ago. I live in a 2 Dish market. I have had the Bluegrass tech's out 8 times in about 11 weeks. One dish is the 5 LNB, the other is a standard round one.
Our house has two SD Tivo's, one HD Tivo (10-250) , one Non-Tivo DVR, and one regular SD receiver. We lose the locals (searching for satellite) at least once or twice a week. This normally happens when I am trying to record a local (not Hi-def in my market) on the 10-250. If I go through the guided setup, the locals come back, but, by then, I've missed what I was trying to record. When the locals go on the TV with the 10-250, at least one of the SD Tivo's loses locals as well.
The tech's have replaced the dish once, an LNB once, and the multiplexors twice. I believe we have two multiplexors, with eight lines coming in and nine going out. They've also replaced a few short coaxial cables coming from the multiplexors.
My question is, should I keep fighting with it, or just hope it gets straightened out when the replacement for the 10-250 comes out?
Thanks,
Dan
