Want Plasma TVs More than Diamonds
What do women want? Few men in the world can actually answer that question.
“But diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” you might say. Well not anymore.
According to a new U.S. study, most women say they would actually prefer a new
plasma TV to a diamond necklace. Yes, technology. A big, sexy television set.
The survey by Oxygen, the womens' cable TV network, found that technology is

closing, with women regularly purchasing and using new technology. ...

Can't beat today's modern woman. My wife would much rather invest in "motorcycle" upgrades than anything having to do with technology. She's about as technophobic as someone can get. My two teenage daughters have taken over the responsibility for giving her a bad time when she can't get the remote control to work correctly.

In my household it's my fiance that keeps pestering me to upgrade to the bigger HD tv! I keep telling her that once we have HD locals in our area through Dish that we'll do it. (I'm in the Indy DMA so hopefully not too much longer) Oh and she loves sports too, can't get any better than that! :)

If you're half as smart as you are lucky, you'll go ahead and get her the tv she wants - NOW! :sure:

Somewhat related, the guy I know that works at a local high end home theater shop frequently meets with representatives from all the major manufactures. They are a big Sony shop, and he said all the Sony reps say one thing. The new Bravia product line of LCD HDTVs that are based on the Wega line are only in existence to attract female buyers and/or making it easier for females to allow their husbands to splurge on an HDTV. Everything from the product manual, remote, the physical look are all geared toward women. And it’s funny, the three Bravia owners I know of, the TV was purchase was all made by the wife.
Good idea, Steve. If I decide to upgrade to a 90" Bravia plasma HDTV, I'll get a rich wife first.

No amount of money, or even a rich wife can get you a Bravia plasma, Bravia's are LCD only :D

Well if she can (both cook and more importantly have a 90" Bravia Plasma custom made) make sure she has a sister and send her up to Buffalo
Steve, I just found a woman (left) that can make my 90" Bravia fantasies come true,
and, lucky for you, she just happens to have an older twin sister (right). I'm shuffling the
older twin sister off to Buffalo on the first Greyhound out tomorrow morning. Enjoy!
