New ordinance regarding antennas in a small town outside Gettysburg. The story is here:

http://www.gettysburgtimes.com/news/front2.shtml

What caught my attention was this:

Accessory uses would include “one UHF/VHF television and FM/AM radio antenna or tower per property designed for receiving signals from ground-based broadcast systems, one dish-type antenna or tower per household no larger than 30 inches in diameter, one ground mounted television satellite dish antenna or tower per property no larger than 72 inches in diameter, or one citizen band or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed amateur radio operator antenna or tower per property.”

One dish? As we all know, there are many people who require more than one. Can this stand up in court?

Most likely it would not stand up.

the OTARD says you can have as many as you need

but this is pretty good
one ground mounted television satellite dish antenna or tower per property no larger than 72 inches in diameter

OTARD protects to 39.67 inches....they'll allow a 6 foot dish??

(Most likely they are referring to a UHF dish since satellite dishes are covered in the next part. They also are not mentioning wireless ISP antennas - this 30" dish could be used for that.)

What catches me is the "OR". OTARD would allow ALL of those uses simultaneously (and more). I don't consider it a reasonable restriction. I doubt if the FCC would consider it reasonable.

BTW: OTARD does not require unrestricted installation of receive antennas - it only requires that restrictions be reasonable.
